AVATAR

            A spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has learned to call home. When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.

SECOND CHANCES

A car accident leaves 10 year-old Sunny Mathews walk without crutches.  In addition, she becomes emotionally withdrawn, reluctant to communicate with anyone and everyone around her.  When she moves with her mother next door to a ranch run and owned by former rodeo star Ben Taylor, Sunny develops a liking for Ben and a mean crippled horse named ginger getting ready to be shipped off to the meat market but Sunny saves her from that and she begins prrgress on the road to recovery with her horse.  This movie is an emotional train that leads to a big win in the end it is about the love between a girl and a horse. Second Chances is one of few barrel racing movies and i for one am a barrel racer and i loved that movie Everything was great.

POLE BENDING

Each contestant begins from a running start, and time begins and ends as the horse’s nose crosses the line. A visible starting line must be administered and pointed out. An electric timer or at least two watches are used, with the time indicated by the electric timer or the average time of the watches used by official timers to be the official time. The pole bending pattern is to run around six poles. Each pole is 21 feet apart, and the first pole is 21 feet from the starting line. Poles are set on top of the ground, six feet in height, with no base more than 14 inches  in diameter. A horse may start either to the right or to the left of the first pole and then run the remainder of the pattern accordingly. Knocking over a pole  carry a five-second penalty. Failure to follow the course shall result in disqualification. A contestant may touch a pole with his or her hand in pole bending. However, if the course has been altered from the original pattern it will result in a NO-TIME run.  Between pole bending and barrel racing my favourite is pole bending.  This year at my first show i came fifth place for pole bending i had a time of 30 seconds and when i did barrel racing at the show i fell off head first and had a sprayed neck and a concaution  but its still very entertaining people say that if u can hear everything around you your not going to have a good run but if you hear nothing you will do fine.

TURN, BURN AND EARN

              Turn, Burn and Earn is an exciting concept that has been steadily gaining ground in Western Canada since formed the organization four years ago. The positive I can attitude evident in all areas of her life, has contributed to Iris Ann Porter’s success - not only in barrel racing, but in many other events as well.

Today, Iris Ann runs two horses, a 14 year old bred gelding named Scotty and Texas, a 9 year old cutting bred gelding.
And what began as a few jackpots where she didn’t really know what she was doing, has progressed to Turn Burn and Earn, a full-fledged organization with 48 barrel races so far this year and a 5D Finals July 6 8 in Claresholm. The Finals pays well and offers saddles to all 5D level winners with a Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Saddle going to the Turn, Burn and Earn member voted most sportsmanlike by fellow members.

I used to be a member of this association but am no longer while I was in this I enjoyed the competition it was very intense and an extreme adrenalin rush.  I still enjoy going to these events to see whos out there and how well they do so hopefully I can take what I learn and put it to good use, come back and do amazing and get possibly high points in the junior division.

PATRICK WITH IS NEW TECHNOLOGIE

             In this picture we have a friend of mine, named Patrick. As you can see he is enjoying his HP Pavilion 6 series laptop.  Patrick uses his computer to watch movies, comercials and look for diffrent information regarding to research.  Laptops are very portable and easy to use, now days you can buy internet USB's and perhaps go watch something in a park or in your favorite place to go spend time.  Or you can connect to other peoples WIFI, which is what he does.
             On computers you can upload, download, read, watch and listen to media.  you can go on to google, ask questions or just simply type in something that you want information onand have it there for you in seconds.  Everything is evolving around us with no time to keep up with all the new trends and fads.  All media used to be was crinkly paper with black and white pictures and print, now there are many things like cell phones, ipods, mp3's, computers of all sorts, and they are all in color.

THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESSE

                Lazy stoner Dale Denton has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver to purchase weed a rare new kind called Pineapple Express. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city's most dangerous drug dealer, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him. And guess what it is coincidentally. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that they're not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia incredibly, the bad guys are really close to catching up on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest way to kill them both.

KUNG FU PANDA 2

                In Kung Fu Panda 2, Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and kung fu masters, The Furious Five. But Po's new life of happeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. TRUE GRIT

                Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old  girl Mattie Ross plans to go out to capture the killer. To help her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with true grit Cogburn. Mattie insists on accompanying Cogburn, whose drinking, slow, and generally loves to argue with everyone. Against his wishes, she joins him in his journey into the Indian Nations in search of Chaney. They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely three of them find danger and surprises on their journey to find Chaney, and each has his or her grit tested on their journey.

HIDALGO

                Hidalgo is an action adventure and one mans journey of personal redemption. Based on the real life story of Frank T. Hopkins, the legend came to life when one of the greatest riders the American west has ever known is put up against the worlds finest Arabian horses and racers.

                The story of the cowboy Hopkins and his mustang, strangers in a strange land as they become the first American and non-Arabian horse to compete in the toughest endurance race the world has ever known.  Hidalgo is my favorite western movie of all time the desendents of Hidalgo remain in the spanish mustang herd, they belong to the gilbert jones herd on blackjack mountain.  This movie is an amazing movie i found it kepted me on the edge of my seat the whole time it envolves a race through the desert and it is a 3000 mile race.

IM FROM SUSSEX AND I KNOW

    My third choice is im from sussex and i know it because, this short 4 minuite video of 2 boys having a grand old time with their cows on a farm driving around in a tractor dancing in cow crap and doing what they do for a life style, milking cows.  This video is entertaining and at the same time halarious.  It caught my eye when my teacher showed it to our class and we had a good time watching it.  I show cows so i know what it takes to take care of them i do it everyday but they made it look fun and easy if your having a fun time doing it.  for this video they used the sound track from LMFAO's I'm sexy and i know it, they did a very good job and comming up with new lyrics and getting everything done on time and in the right spot that it should be in.  it was interesting how they went from one clip of a video to another and changing the area and scenery every minuite or few seconds.  it kept me very interested and focused on what was hapening in the video and not what was around me.

                                                     

THE TITANTIC

              I have picked the Titantic as my second choise because it is a tale of romance and explains what someone will go through just to save you in this movie jack gives up his life for rose but before this they had just enjoyed a night of running around the boat avoiding roses fiance and his henchmen.  As it sinks, Jack and Rose ride the stern into the ocean. Jack helps Rose onto a wall panel only able to support one person's weight. Holding the panel's edge, he assures her she will die an old woman, warm in her bed. Meanwhile, Fifth Officer Harold Lowe has commandeered a lifeboat to search for survivors.  Rose and the other survivors are taken by the RMS Carpathia to New York, where Rose gives her name as Rose Dawson. She hides from Cal on Carpathia's deck as he searches for her. Her story complete, Rose goes alone to the stern of the ship. There she takes out the Heart of the Ocean, which has been with her all along, and drops it into the ocean. While asleep in her bed, the photos on her dresser are a visual chronicle that she lived a free life inspired by Jack.  Rose is then seen reuniting with Jack at the Grand Staircase of the Titanic, cheered and congratulated by those who died on the ship.  She told the story very well while looking at the sunken ship in the Atlantic, she used plenty of detail to make it as if you were there as everything was beeing told or even put you directly on the ship.

THE HUNGER GAMES

This is my first blog and i chose to write my blog about the hunger games were 24 kids and teenagers fight to survive.  at the begining of the movie you can see katnisse's skills to hunt and defend herself. Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A complicated punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation plan, The Hunger Games are a nationally live event in which Tributes must fight with one another until one survivor is left.

 Against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her skilled instincts as well as the mentorship of a drunken former Abernathy. If she is ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weighs survival against death.
